Wardell Stephen Curry, also known as “Steph” one of the most famous Golden State Warriors hotshot players was born on March 14, 1988. He is a Professional basketball player with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors in the USA. Numerous commentators and basketball professionals have dubbed him the game’s best sniper. He is associated with revolutionizing the basketball game by encouraging players to use three-point shots on a consistent basis. He is a seven-time NBA All-Star, and has been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player twice, and has led the Golden State Warriors to multiple NBA trophies.

Early Basketball Career

Steph Curry was a Davidson Wildcats college basketball player back in the day. He is also the son of the former NBA player Dell and he is the older brother of present Basketballer, Seth.

 Stephen set the Davidson’s and the Southern Conference’s all-time scoring record and was twice voted the conference’s player of the year. Curry also achieved the NCAA single-season record for most three-pointers scored during his collegiate career but was then drafted by the Golden State Warriors only with seventh pick overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Curry earned his first MVP award and headed the Golden State Warriors through their first title since 1975 in 2014–15. Steph became the first player in NBA history to ever be unanimously voted MVP and also to dominate the league in scoring while averaging over 50–40–90. In the same year, the Warriors smashed the NBA records for the most wins in a season inching closer to achieving the 2016 NBA Finals, where they were defeated in seven games by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Steph assisted the Warriors’ come back to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018, and 2019, claiming back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018, until losing to the Toronto Raptors in 2019. Three Pointer King

Steph set an NBA record for three-pointers scored in a regular-season during the 2012 season, with 272. He broke that record with 286 in 2015 once again with 402 in 2016. In case you didn’t know, Steph is second in the world in NBA history in terms of three-pointers taken.  

Steph finished with 15 points but recorded 13 turnovers in his college debut versus Eastern Michigan. He netted 32 points, handed out four assists, and collected nine rebounds in the following game versus Michigan. He ended the season averaging 21.5 points per game, which led to the Southern Conference at the time. He finished second in the country among rookies in scores, trailing only Texas’ Kevin Durant. Stephs scoring abilities guided the Wildcats to a 29–5 winning percentage and a regular-season Southern Conference championship. Steph scored his 113th three-point shot of the season in 2007, in the Southern Conference tournament semifinals versus Furman, shattering Keydren Clark’s NCAA rookie league record for three-point goals.

Three Pointers Continue

Steph Curry once scored 36 points in a 129–128 victory over the Chicago Bulls on December 27, 2020. He followed Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, the only NBA players in Basketball history to have made upwards of and over 2,500 career three-pointers. He posted a career-high 62 points in a game where they won 137–122 over the Portland Trail Blazers on January 3, 2021. On January 4, of this year he was named Western Conference Player of the Week. Steph scored five three-pointers in a match against Utah Jazz on January 23, 2021, bringing his overall number to 2,562, beating Miller to move into second place all-time in career three-pointers scored, behind only Ray Allen. 53 POINTS FOR STEPH

On April 12, 2021, Steph had a good game and managed 53 points in a 116–107 victory over the Nuggets, passing W. Chamberlain 17,783 to become the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. This was part of an 11-game run in April during which Curry averaged 30 points per game, breaking Kobe Bryant‘s existing mark for a player 33 years or older. 

Curry has made 78 three-pointers over that 11-game stretch, the most in Major league history. His performance reignited speculation of him being a contender for a third MVP title.
