Welcome to the EpicWin NBA Team Quiz. This will more than likely be the hardest NBA Team quiz you have played. What’s your favorite NBA team? Many NBA fans who support a team, usually know of the top players in the team. They would also know the main players in the opposing team. But do you know all the players in all the NBA teams, in this current season 2019/20? So we are looking for NBA fans who know their stuff about all the teams.
Emma in the EpicWin team enjoyed making this NBA quiz and felt it would be ideal for the true NBA fan. There are 30 teams in the NBA and to keep a personal record of all of the players of all those teams would be a headache. So Emma made sure that you would only have to guess 15 players out of all of the teams. Fewer names to guess, but still, the same level of knowledge is needed. Be sure to check our other NBA quizzes.
Your task in this NBA team quiz is to guess the name of each player’s respective team, which you will be shown. You will be shown a total of 15 current NBA players and you will have to select the team they were part of during the 2019/20 season. The only thing is you will have to guess the name of their team from their last names or the last word in their name. So instead of the team being Phoenix Suns, it will only show the last part of their name, which is Suns.
Emma, in the EpicWin team, has gone through the effort of picking players from well-known teams with big followings. This should make the quiz slightly easy, as everyone who is an NBA follower usually knows the main players from the top teams. The 2019/20 season was hit hard with the onset of the COVID Pandemic. offtopic – Love Kobe? Basketball is played with five players at a time, which is typically how many players each team takes part in the sport. From either a tactical point of view, certain players have traditionally been allocated places determined by their role on the court. Most broadly stated, the three primary positional deployments are being a guard, playing in the front, and centering, with the accepted standard usually including two guards, two forwards, and a center. Over time, as more specialized roles emerged, each position acquired a distinct name, each of which has been assigned a number: point guard (also called PG) or 1, shooting guard (also called SG) or 2, small forward (also called SF) or 3, power forward (also called PF) or 4, and center (also called C) or 5. Centers tend to be the tallest and toughest members of the team, and they are typically situated underneath the basket. The center must also have better physical ability and stamina to enforce its authority. Many centers do not score in the middle or outside the arch on the attacking play. This approach is rarely effective. Rather, they should try to get a high percentage of their points from offensive rebounds and they also have to get a block to free up NBA teammates for drives to the basket.
To help prohibit the opponent from scoring, the center is expected to deny passes and blocks shots in the critical area. Additionally, they are required to combat for rebounds because they are generally taller.
The power forward (sometimes called the four) is typically used during “post” or “low blocks” as a contributor identical to that of the center. While being reliant on jumpers around 10 to 15 feet from the hoop, the power forward on the squad is one of the most potent scorers because of his ability to score really close to the basket as well as his mid-range shots. A stretch four is someone who stretches their range from the free-throw line to the three-point line. To prevent their players from becoming bullied in the paint, they require strength to hold bigger players near the basket and quickness to prevent fast guys from posting up. While he is smaller than the other forwards on the squad, he handles the most flexible position on the court out of the core five. To be like a shooting guard, he needs stature and the willingness to switch on the inside as well as athleticism to be able to play around the outside. Small forwards generally excel at being one of the top two or three shooters on their team, and may contribute in a number of ways on the court. On-offtopic, know much about NBA shoes?
The point guard leads the offence by handling the ball and dribbling, and often he or she is the team’s greatest passer and dribbler of the ball. The point guard is the primary defender of the opposing point guard and will try to take the ball away.
Shooting guards are often the greatest scorers on the squad. As a shooter, the shooting guard can score long-distance shots and also has the ability to dribble well.
